  • What is the Kink and Fetish Zone?

The Kink and Fetish Zone is a dedicated area within Pride in Gloucestershire where attendees can explore, learn, and celebrate various aspects of kink and fetish culture. It's a safe, inclusive space for everyone, regardless of experience level, to connect with the community, attend workshops, and engage in open discussions about these interests.
  • Is the Kink and Fetish Zone appropriate for all attendees?

The Kink and Fetish Zone is designed for adults aged 18 and over due to the mature nature of the content. While it is a welcoming space, we recommend that only those comfortable with adult themes and discussions enter this zone

No experience is necessary to enjoy the Kink and Fetish Zone! Whether you're curious, new to the scene, or a long-time enthusiast, the zone offers something for everyone. Our workshops and presentations are designed to cater to all levels of interest and experience.
  • Can I attend the Kink and Fetish Zone if I'm not part of the K&F community?

Absolutely! The Kink and Fetish Zone is open to everyone, regardless of whether you're part of the kink and fetish community. • I don’t agree with Kink at Pride. Why is it included?

Kink and fetish communities, including the leather scene, have deep historical roots in the LGBTQ+ movement. Leathermen and other kink communities were instrumental in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, particularly during the AIDS crisis and the early years of Pride. These spaces weren’t just about sex—they were about safety, belonging, and solidarity for people rejected by mainstream society.

For many today, the kink and fetish community continues to be a vital safe space - especially for neurodiverse individuals, queer people with non-normative bodies, and others who don’t fit into traditional ideas of sexuality and gender. It's often where people find acceptance, structure, and community when they’ve struggled to find that elsewhere.

Pride is a protest and a celebration. It’s about visibility, freedom, and showing up fully as ourselves. Kink and fetish are part of our LGBTQ+ tapestry—honouring our past, embracing our present, and making room for everyone, including those who experience the world differently.

You don’t have to visit the zone if it’s not for you. But we ask that you respect the right of others to feel seen, supported, and included.
