🌈 What is a Pride Supporter Wristband?


Pride in Gloucestershire is powered by community – but it’s not free to run. Across the year, our events cost over £60,000 to deliver, and with more Prides across the UK being cancelled due to funding cuts, we need your support now more than ever. In 2024, we were £25k down on the funds we needed for the event - and had to take some drastic actions in order to keep Pride going. This included asking performers to perform for expenses only, cutting back on equipment hire, reducing the Cabaret Stage, and cancelling BSL interpreters - just to survive.


In 2025, we have faced similar struggles with raising the funds we need to hold this event. We really can't repeat the measures we took last year as accessibility, inclusivity, and community is key to us. Therefore, the only option we have (like many Prides across the country) is the move towards selling Pride Supporter Wristbands and asking for suggested minimum donations on the gate.

Pride Supporter Wristband FAQ

  • What is a Pride Supporter Wristband?

    It's a way to support your Pride and help us keep the event running. The wristband acts as your donation and unlocks exclusive benefits like fast-track entry, discounts, prize draws, and more.

  • Do I need a ticket or wristband to attend Pride?

    No, entry to Pride in Gloucestershire is by donation on the day - you don't need to buy a ticket in advance. However, we encourage supporters to pre-purchase a Pride Supporter Wristband, which counts as your donation and comes with some great perks!

  • Do I need to donate again if I've bought a wristband?

    Nope! Your wristband is your donation - just head to the fast-track queue and show your QR code.

  • What perks do I get with the wristband?

    We are adding more perks as they get announced - but currently:
    - Fast-track entry into the event

  • How much does the wristband cost?

    Adults (18+): £5
    Young people (13-17): £2.50
    Children under 13: Free
    Personal assistants/carers: Free with main ticket holder

  • Are wristbands refundable?

    As a charity, we treat all wristband sales as donations so unfortunately, we're unable to offer refunds if you can't attend.

  • Where can I buy a wristband?

    Wristbands must be bought in advance - either online or at our Pride Hub in the city centre the week before the event. On the day, you'll show your QR code at the gate and receive your wristband there.

  • Can I buy a wristband on the day?

    No - wristbands are only available in advance.
